At Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, our mission is clear: Repair Homes, Revitalize Communities, Rebuild Lives. With the generous support of Florida Blue, we recently had the privilege of taking on a special project in Kenneth City to repair the Byrd family home, which had been severely damaged by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of over 40 dedicated volunteers, we were able to address key safety and accessibility issues around the Byrd family’s property, transforming it into a safer space where they can thrive. The team worked tirelessly, not only completing essential repairs but also tackling painting and landscaping tasks, further improving the home’s environment.
This project is a powerful reminder of the strength of our community and what we can achieve when we come together to help those in need. We are deeply grateful to GuideWell and #TeamBlue for their incredible support and the hands-on efforts of their volunteers. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of the Byrd family and many others in our community.
