It has been exactly five months since Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on Fort Myers, leaving behind a trail of destruction. However, amidst the challenges, a beacon of hope shines as Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, alongside Mayor Kevin Anderson and Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka, joined forces with The Home Depot Foundation and TD Bank to announce a significant financial boost of $300,000 for relief efforts. This generous contribution, comprising a $200,000 donation from The Home Depot Foundation and a $100,000 contribution from TD Bank, will play a crucial role in helping homeowners rebuild their lives and homes after the devastating storm.

Today's news conference took place in the Harlem Heights neighborhood, a community deeply impacted by the hurricane. Already, several homes have been successfully completed, thanks to the collective efforts of Rebuilding Together and its dedicated team. But with the additional funding secured, the mission continues, and even more families and residents will receive the support they need to rebuild and recover.

The unwavering support of The Home Depot Foundation and TD Bank underscores their commitment to the well-being of Fort Myers residents. As the relief efforts progress, the profound impact of their contributions will be felt by the families and individuals whose lives have been upended by the hurricane's wrath. Rebuilding Together stands steadfast in its pledge to assist the people of Fort Myers throughout the long-term recovery process, ensuring that hope is restored, and communities are rebuilt, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
