At Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB), we are incredibly grateful for the generous support we’ve received from Hancock Whitney, whose $50,000 donation, along with a matching contribution from the Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund (TBRF), will help us continue our mission of recovery and rebuilding in communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This combined $100,000 gift will be instrumental in repairing homes and restoring hope for families in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota counties—areas severely impacted by these two storms.

Rising to the Challenge of Hurricane Recovery

The 2024 hurricane season presented unprecedented challenges, with Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton making landfall only 13 days apart. As cleanup from Helene was just beginning, Milton struck, compounding the devastation across Florida. Despite these challenges, our communities have shown extraordinary resilience, and we are proud to be part of their recovery journey.

Thanks to the collaboration between Hancock Whitney and the Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund, we are now poised to further accelerate our efforts to help individuals and families regain stability. This partnership exemplifies what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared commitment to rebuilding lives.

Restoring Homes and Hope

Since the storms, RTTB has been at the forefront of disaster response, providing essential services like mucking and gutting homes, tarping roofs, and distributing much-needed supplies like flood buckets, cleaning kits, hygiene essentials, and more. As we shift toward long-term recovery, this generous donation will allow us to focus on repairing homes, ensuring families can return to safe and secure living environments.

We’re honored to work alongside Hancock Whitney, the Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund, and the Pinellas Community Foundation to make a lasting impact in the lives of those affected by these storms. This collaboration is proof that when we come together, we can create real, meaningful change.

Thank you, Hancock Whitney and the Tampa Bay Resiliency Fund, for your unwavering support and commitment to helping our community recover and thrive!
