During the year we hear many stories in the news, the paper and on the radio about what’s wrong in our community and the people who live in it. It’s nice to hear a story about what’s right in our community and the people who live in it. We have such a story like that to tell you.
About a month ago, RTTB and many volunteers were painting homes in Progress Village. Due to the enthusiasm of one group, a part of a driveway and front porch were splattered with paint. This left the home incomplete and obviously needing additional attention.
Enter Mike Ryan of Scott Paint. This past weekend with out fanfare, press releases or attention from anyone, Mike spent his Sunday painting that same driveway and front porch without any help from anyone else.
THIS is what’s right in our community. Mike wanted to make sure that the home was finished and that RTTB was able to make one more resident happy. Today, Mrs. Jones’ home looks the way she wants it to and she is now another happy Progress Village resident…thanks in a major way due to the efforts and generosity of Mike Ryan.
We are truly fortunate to be able to work along side of people like Mike and organizations like Scott Paint. They truly care about the community they live and work in and won’t stop until they have done all they can. If you like to work with businesses and people who give back and really care about what they do and how they do it, Scott Paint should be on your list of businesses to call.
