Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB) partners, once again, with the City of Tampa Department of Housing and Community Development to provide Residential Repairs and Rehabilitation Services to very low income homeowners. The funding will allow completion of substantial repairs to at least five homes by the end of June 2010. These are the first projects funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development. RTTB hopes that once these projects are completed, the Department will continue supporting our efforts in the most needed and distressed neighborhoods. Furthermore, the grant will allow RTTB to provide work opportunities to several general contractors, roofers, and trade professionals that were affected by the economy downturns. RTTB hopes to leverage this funding by further partnering with local suppliers, other sponsors, and volunteers to increase the number of homeowners served through this grant.
